A little bit about ME (Ms. Walker)-I am thrilled that this will be my 11th year of teaching at Sinaloa. I actually went to school here in the late 80s (you should see my pictures-ugh). Let's just say that I used a lot of hair spray in middle school. I got married last year to Greg Kitchens. He is a winemaker in Napa and he is an excellent cook. He enjoys visiting the classroom on the Fridays when we do messy science experiments. Just ask anyone from last year's class about the alka seltzer experiment!
We had a lot of fun this summer. We left the Friday after school go out to go to Columbus Isle Club Med on San Salvador Island, a tiny island in the Bahamas. Greg and I are big time scuba divers-we absolutely love seeing sealife so close. It's like swimming in a giant aquarium, but without the gooky stuff on the glass that needs to be cleaned. We became Rescue Divers-you would have had a good laugh watching your teacher doing all of the practice rescues. At one time, there were six people who needed our help (of course, they were pretending, but we had to act like we would if it was real).
We also went to Europe this summer for two weeks. We travelled through Germany, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. Germany was my favorite-the people were so friendly and happy! We even went to the castle that Walt Disney used for the Disneyland castle.
As for pets, I have two cats, Scoob and Trixie. I named Scoob after scuba diving, although we call him many other names, like Meatball and Scoobers. He is more like a dog than a cat. However, his sister, Trixie, is very cat like. She will only let you pet her on her terms. Her nicknames are Trixilicious (like Fergie's Fergalicious) and Squeakers because she sometimes squeaks insteads of meows.
